Job Details

My client, a small but global organisation with a big impact now has a fantastic opportunity for an HR manager to join them on a permanent in the newly created role of People and Talent Manager.

This diverse and tightly-knit group of colleagues who work entrepreneurially are looking for an experienced, values-driven, collaborative HR professional to work alongside their existing People and Talent group - preferably a specialist who has worked in global teams. Working alongside and supporting Partners, senior leadership and other colleagues, you'll work with people in the US, India, Far East, South America, Africa and Europe and. The successful candidate will have experience in employment law relating to the UK, US and (ideally) India. You will also have some form of combined experience in recruitment, talent management and/or people development.

This founder-led organisation is a close-knit group, with a very open, progressive, and mission-driven culture. The ideal candidate for this role will enjoy the rigour of working in the corporate sector, while having the flexibility and motivation of being mission-driven and entrepreneurial. You will also be intellectually curious, a strong individual contributor who can manage and motivate teams, with a hunger to get things done quickly - to a high standard - and excel in working collaboratively. You'll need to be someone who can combine a focus on 'doing' (to deliver on the task-oriented parts of this role), with a capacity for 'being' including strong empathy and generosity of spirit. Ideally you'll be someone who can foster a specific culture; someone who understands procedure, consistency and fairness, and who uses their imagination and empathy to make judgements that enable people to flourish.

As part of you role you will:

Co-develop and own the People and Talent strategy, obtaining buy-in across the organisation.

Work with the Managing Partners to ensure a healthy pipeline of new talent, including succession plans for key roles

Work with the Director of Legal to keep up to date with, and react to, changes in legislation and ensure all policies are legally compliant (in discussion with others).

Expat administration: coordination with tax consultants in the UK and US

Owning pay review, bonus, budgeting and benchmarking activities, alongside the Managing Partners and CFO
