Payroll Administrator

Title: Payroll Administrator
Location: Halifax
Salary: £11.35 to £12.90 p/hour
Hours: 15 week contract - 37.25 hours p/week

Purpose of the role: To support the Payroll Manager in transferrin 350 employees from weekly to monthly payroll across to our monthly payroll and to support the payroll team on reconciliations/calculations and reporting at busy periods. The main role will involve creating new payroll records and running payroll to ensure it agrees with the payroll bureau before the transfer of the employees to our central payroll system.

Specific Roles and responsibilities:
·Co ordinating with site to obtain information for the payroll
·Reconciliation of payroll elements
·Ensuring all employees receive correct pay
·Producing all the required output reports

Ideally you will have the below skills/experience:
·knowledge of tax and Ni calculations would be an advantage
·Excellent excel skills using V lookup
·Experience with fast paced, high volume payroll
·Able to work to tight deadlines
·Ability to deal with queries or a sensitive and confidential nature

As a Payroll Technician it is essential you have worked in a Payroll environment and are administratively strong as well as being able to demonstrate excellent communication and excellent IT skills. You will be able to work to tight deadlines in a face-paced environment, have a can-do attitude and be a strong team player, with good attention to detail.
