Ashley Kate HR are pleased to be working with a National client based in Bedford who are looking for a Site HR Manager to join the business on a permanent basis.

Reporting into the Group HR manager you will lead the HR Department around people and development, ensuring legal compliance and best practice with regard to the full employee life cycle.

About you

• Experience of implementing complex HR interventions in a fast-paced, challenging environment.
• Knowledge of best practice Human Resources approaches and the evidence behind them.
• Experience of working closely with senior management.
• Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines.
• Resilient to changing circumstances and challenges.

Key tasks and responsibilities include:

• Play a leadership role in implementing key, long-term interventions in the areas of employee and leadership development, talent readiness, employee engagement programs, organisational culture and diversity.
• Help the business through transformations and adapting to changing business conditions.
• Ensure effective application of the performance management programme.
• Manage employee relation issues with a focus on risk mitigation and effective problem resolution.
• Manage the development, refinement and/or communication of HR policies, procedures and practices to ensure sound leadership application and legal compliance.
• Work with the leadership team and line managers, providing guidance and support with people related strategy
• Provide practical solutions to issues around employee relations.
• Oversee the formal annual performance and development (appraisal) process; training managers and identifying/addressing performance issues.
• Manage compensation and benefit packages to support recruitment and retention
