The Temp Controller will be tasked with looking after the contingency staff, helping with gathering relevent CVs and distributing vacancies out to agencies. Organistion will be key with this position as it's a very busy role with an outgoing and vibrant team.

Primary Responsibilities/Activities

To manage the administration of temporary staff, with the assistance of the HR Administrator, ensuring compliance policies are followed:

Temporary Staff Recruitment

Ø Liaise with both manager and agency regarding live roles

Ø Collect CVs, review and send on to Line Management

Ø Arrange interviews

Ø Negotiate temp rates

Ø Manage Agency relationships.

Ø Review Terms of Business for any new suppliers and negotiate amendments including Sliding Scale

Temporary Staff Invoices

Ø Check and code HR temp invoices on IMS and forward to line for approval

Ø Deal with queries from invoice administrators and line on time sheets and invoices

Ø Liaise with Agencies for timely resolution of queries, including chasing for credit notes and replacement invoices


Ø Weekly current temps list

Ø Weekly figures for HR meeting

Ø Monthly temp headcount reports for OAD and F&C

Ø Update and check Monthly Visa Report

Database Upkeep

Ø Temporary Staff Work Sheet - updated daily and in real time

Ø CV Log

Interview book

Ø New Starter/Induction Checklist

Ø Sliding Scale Dates and Rates

On-going Administration

Ø Weekly checking temp expiry dates, reminding managers and chasing extension applications

Ø Contract renewals with agencies

Rate change updates (sliding scale/pension/holiday entitlement/AWR to invoice administrators, line and agencies

Ø Filing

Ø Dealing with all day to day enquiries from Agencies, Line and external enquiries
