This organisation are looking for an experienced HR Manager, with a strong delivery focus and commercial awareness to lead the UK HR operations. The role will be based in London (City) and will be reporting directly into the COO. It is therefore critical that you understand the nature of working for a global business, but supporting a small headcount, and reporting into the business.


The UK operations is circa 140 people, supported by specialists in Recruitment, Reward and L&D. The role will entail a likely 80/20% time split between the UK operations role and assisting, contributing and leading on a number of HR strategic projects. They are looking for HR generalists who have supported across a diverse range of HR projects, working closely with the business to bring ideas, and new ways of working. This is a role that is busy and will need a 'doer'- someone who wants to really get to know the business and who isn't afraid to be involved in projects at all levels.

This is a great opportunity to make your mark locally but also get involved in Group wide projects eg looking at engagement across the group. it is important you know what it is like working in a small HR team, and in a collaborative way.

Core Responsibilities:

*Provide a first class HR and people support service to a dedicated group
*You will be operationally strong, be comfortable working directly with challenging stakeholders in an operational HR generalist role that also encompasses HR projects and strategy.
*Ensure all HR processes & procedures are robust, fit for purpose and comply with legislation, constantly review the relevance, accuracy and application of all HR policies and practices.
*Provide complex ER advice, conduct investigations into disciplinary and grievance issues. Managing the procedures and advising line management appropriately
*Support the business in all compensation matters including the annual compensation cycle.
*Coach and advise line managers on the management of employee related issues within their own teams and in particular provide advice on grievance, disciplinary, performance management
*Build and maintain key stakeholder relationships, ensuring consistency of approach
*Challenge and influence current ways of working to drive a positive change and work with the rest of the HR team to lead improvements across business areas
*Leading, assisting in the design and project managing a number of HR strategic projects
*Manage a small team and play a strong role in the wider Group HR team
