Job Details
A niche London based law firm is looking for an HR Specialist to join their growing HR team. This role is predominantly a Training and Development role with a focus on line manager and partner training. There are also wider generalist responsibilities included.
Key responsibilities of this role includes:
Training & Development
- Reporting into the Head of HR, helping to develop and implement a coherent strategy covering all aspects of training and development
- Acting as the point of contact across the firm for all training and developing matters
- Conducting internal training sessions
- Sourcing and arranging in-house training by external providers
- Evaluating training and development activities
General
- Assisting with organisational design and development to support the future growth of the firm
- Developing and maintaining internal payroll processes, as appropriate
- Managing internships across the firm and coordinating all relevant administration
- Conducting candidate interviews with line managers for roles within the support departments
- Assisting the Head of HR with HR project work, including leading projects as and when required
This person will:
- Have experience of providing training and development advice and guidance to a demanding and/or challenging client group
- Have experience of coaching and advising line managers and employees at all levels
- Have excellent knowledge of best practice in relation to training and development, and relevant UK employment law
- Have experience of leading HR projects
- Be able to develop and implement changes to HR policies and processes
- Have strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent attention to detail
- Have a professional and non-confrontational manner, acting with respect for others at all times
- Be educated to degree level (2:1+) or equivalent
