Senior HR Business Partner 

Covering North and Central UK patches – home working with extensive travel (ideal base location for a candidate would be Leeds, Manchester, Sheffield etc.) 

Competitive salary plus car allowance and discretionary bonus up to 10%

A large, national service provider is keen to secure the talents of an ambitious Senior HR Business Partner, who is looking to attain a new role with a clear succession plan in place to become HR Director in the next 2 to 3 years. The successful post-holder will have extensive experience of working across multiple sites, handling high-level, fast paced operational and strategic HR & OD issues within a heavily blue collar workforce (i.e. FM, Healthcare, Retail, Construction, FMCG etc.) 

JOB PURPOSE

The post-holder will be responsible for implementing effective people management interventions across one of 6 key Business areas within the organisation, with a specific responsibility for the North and Central regions. You will collaborate extensively with other senior HR colleagues to deliver a coherent and consistent people management approach across UK & Europe, reporting into the divisional HR Director, with line management responsibility for 2 HRBPs. 

The chosen directorate for this Senior HRBP has recently won numerous multi-million pound contracts, with future plans to double their headcount again over the next two years. A candidate who has exposure to managing HR processes through a similar period of change & growth will be highly advantageous. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

* Support the implementation of the HR strategy (aligned to both the chosen divisional, business unit, and wider organisational policies) developing robust, rolling workforce plans to enable achievement of key business objectives (covering all HR services from recruitment to leaver management)
* Ensure rigorous governance is applied across all people operations, corporate policy and external regulatory frameworks
* Review and report on the performance of the HR service delivery against objectives, budgets and targets
* Ensure effective resource plans are in place that enable the effective deployment of talent, thereby facilitating growth and managing cost
* Support the development of the organisation’s reward and recognition strategy aligned to growth ambitions
* Develop and deliver excellent people practices, building relationships with relevant industry stakeholders & suppliers, helping to develop the organisation’s reputation and building insight of developments in practice
* Support the implementation of employee engagement initiatives across the corporate functions to drive a culture of exceptional customer service, alongside the delivery of the Group’s overall D&I strategy
* Ensure robust talent and succession management strategies are in place enabling the business to meet both strategic and operational goals
* Line management of 2 HRBPs, ensuring their workload is completed appropriately & that they are developed regularly 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

* Professional HR qualification such as CIPD and/or a HR degree or masters 
* Senior, generalist skillset within a relevant blue collar led, multi-site environment
* Excellent OD and Change knowledge 
* Strong commercial mindset, with a ‘business savvy’ approach to aligning HR strategy to wider business objectives
* Ability to travel regularly, with occasional over-night stays (ownership of a full driving licence is a must!) 
* Ambitious and driven persona i.e. 3 year plan to ‘step-up’ into a Director role 
* Demonstrable, extensive knowledge of partnering with a profit-making division through a period of growth
