This role will working alongside the Head of E&D and be responsible for developing and implementing solutions to complex equality and diversity challenges within the framework of relevant equality legislation and best practice throughout the organisation.

Description

The key priorities of this role are to work with colleagues from the Human Resources and Organisational Development Directorate, Strategic Planning and Intelligence, and other directorates to deliver

• To provide specialist equality and diversity advice, playing a significant role in ensuring that the University develops, and implements , equality and diversity plans and policies which are compliant with equalities legislation and aligned with best practice

• To design and implement an Equality Analysis Framework and toolkit to support due regard to equality in decision-making.

• To lead the development of project teams and plans for the Stonewall Workplace Equality Index and Disability external accreditation schemes, advising on best practice, supporting professional services and faculties to contribute to the project planning process

Profile

The ideal candidate will be available to start ASAP and have extensive Equality & Diversity experience along with;

• Experienced in leading and managing organisational approach to benchmarking and external accreditation e.g. Stonewall Workplace Equality Index
• Experience of developing and delivering equality and diversity programmes and projects in a large complex organisation
• Experience of working in Higher Education would be ideal

Job Offer

£35,000 - £38,000 pro rata depending on experience.
