Location – Central London

Contract Type – Fixed Term Contract

Duration – 12 months

Reward – Salary of circa £50-55k per annum – may flex to £60k on this for a superstar

This is will be a fascinating organisation design project… This opportunity is with a very interesting client. They can offer a role that will keep you really challenged and engaged for the next 12 months.

Our client is huge and a prestigious name for the CV. They will be incredibly interesting to work for. They are keen to drive efficiency throughout the organisation and they need someone to help them carry out a review and implement the programme of change.

We are not looking for a learning and development person. The key skill set here is organisation design and an ability to manage change.

What you will be doing…

You will be working with a key business unit and you will interact with senior management and help them to review their structure and identify where work may be duplicated across the organisation and could be streamlined. The key end goal is to reduce overheads and cost but as a service organisation they must be able to deliver so any proposed changes must be practical whilst ensuring continued good service.

Key questions that they want answering are, do they have the correct structures in each department and are the job roles aligned to the strategic goals of the organisation? Could they leverage economies of scale by structuring teams in a different manner? Which roles are critical to the success of the organisation and are there some roles that are unnecessary?

You will look at the org design and break down what you are seeing. You will analyse how roles work together and the flow between them.

These are the core skills that we are looking for:

Organisation design expertise – you will be an expert in organisation design.  Acknowledged across the business as an expert in OD or change management (and outside the business) to ensure credibility as part of the transformation team.

      Excellent analytical reasoning -  you should be able to identify problems and develop hypotheses.

Story-telling/Communication: we want to see strong skills in building the case for change, drawing on data and analytical techniques where appropriate, and building a shared understanding of the logical options available to solve the business problems.

Business acumen: You will be knowledgeable in business strategy and the drivers of organisational performance, including people drivers of performance and financial literacy (e.g. business KPIs, business cases).

Experience of Technology industries/functions would be a bonus but not essential - understanding and how competitive differentiation is achieved in large organisations, media and IT solutions including the key roles and accountabilities required from marketing, product, sales/service and technology work together.

You may have worked in large complex organisations, but if not, that is fine. We do however, want to see people that are able to navigate a large organisation. You will be someone that knows their audience and can navigate these relationships to get answers to your questions.

You will be a completer finisher that is good at interacting with colleagues at all levels. You will be professional in your approach but also someone that can work with good humour.
