Job Details


Fully generalist HR Manager role with responsibilities in heading up a HR function and overseeing recruitment, employee relations cases, coaching and upskilling managers, payroll and change management initiatives. The role is full time.

My client are an exciting and growing construction business in Kent.

Description

  • Oversee recruitment and manage the full employee life cycle
  • Oversee payroll functions
  • Manage autonomously the grievances, disciplinaries, investigations and other ER issues which may arise
  • Develop and upskill managers in HR policies and procedures
  • Maintain the HR system, update and implement HR policies and procedures when required
  • Manage any change management projects such as TUPE, acquisitions and mergers
  • Assist and advise the Board of Directors and other stakeholders on business strategies
  • Provide effective leadership and guidance to the HR function, ensuring best practice is followed
  • Other adhoc duties as required

Profile

  • You will ideally be CIPD Level 5 qualified or above
  • You will have previous experience working in a blue collar environment
  • You will have previously managed a team; big or small
  • You will be commercial in your thinking and be able to identify risks in business strategies for the Board
  • You will be an effective communicator with strong negotiation skills
