A Financial Services business based in the City of London are now looking for a Senior HR Business Partner. This will be a broad, diverse and challenging role and will cover the full range of HR responsibilities, team management, being the #2 to the HRD, projects and much more.

The role will suit someone who either is ready to take the next step in their career and step up to a #2 type role or someone already operating in this capacity.

Brief list of responsibilities:

  • Deputise for HRD, be the #2

  • Strategic HR / People Plan

  • Management of the team >10 people

  • Look after own client group (Distribution/Sales)

  • Projects - SMCR, GDPR, new appraisals system

  • Be involved with various committees

  • Oversight of payroll. There is a payroll manager in the HR team but this role will oversee everything. They also have a payroll provider

  • Managing difficult stakeholders through change

  • Complex ER


  • Strong all round Generalist

  • Financial Services background (HR)

  • Previous team management experience

  • Ability to juggle a number of responsibilities

  • Commercially focused

  • Energy, drive, can get things done
