Up to £55,000 plus benefits

A forward thinking, not for profit organisation are on the lookout for a new HR Business Partner to join their business on a permanent, full time basis. The successful post-holder will play a lead role in delivering a customer focused, proactive partnering service to senior leaders and managers within key business areas (in this case Corporate functions such as Finance). The role will report into Senior HRBP, with responsibility for one HR Advisor.

JOB PURPOSE

To support and coach managers within key directorates through the employee life cycle, providing information and insight to enable high performance, with particular focus on employee relations, performance and talent management.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

* Ensuring the successful delivery of the organisation's people, performance and engagement strategies
* Building up and maintaining strong, professional partnerships with Directors and other senior leaders in key business areas, developing an in-depth understanding of their priorities and needs
* Supporting the development and delivery of people, performance and change plans i.e. focused on the deployment of talent, performance, resourcing, engagement, learning and development and employee relations strategies
* Providing regular analysis of HR data to assist with HR issues and processes, alongside offering HR support, coaching and guidance to both managers and colleagues
* Mentoring and developing the performance of one HR Advisor
* Offering suitable support & guidance on employee relations casework including: disciplinary, capability and grievance issues, sickness absence, restructuring and consultation, ensuring that they are dealt with fairly, consistently and in line with current employment legislation and company polices. Ensuring that line managers are then coached to handle these ER issues in line with best practice and employment law
* Working with the Senior HRBP to support the development and deployment of organisational development and change programmes
* Continually improve and revise HR policies & processes

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

* Strong generalist skillset within either private or third sectors (public sector will not be suitable)
* CIPD qualification or relevant HR degree
* Excellent Employee Relations and Employment Law knowledge
* Prior experience of working in a commercial, fast-paced environment
* Prior exposure to dealing with the people aspects of a OD / Change management exercise(s)
* Excellent communication skills matched with an analytical & ‘business savvy' mindset
