A top tier, global insurer is now looking for a Leadership and Talent Development Specialist.

The role will work closely with the Head of Leadership, learning colleagues, HR and senior stakeholders to deliver leadership and talent strategies that support the people strategy.

We are looking for top class learning/leadership professionals that are interested in a fast paced, challenging and rewarding role.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • In partnership with People and Change translate learning needs and priorities aligned to leadership and talent development curriculums

  • Identify, shape and design new and different interventions in leadership and talent development to enable effective learning and development across the business

  • Create and curate blended learning pathways across leadership and talent development

  • Manage the selection and management of appropriate L&D suppliers/resources

  • Work closely with other members of the L&D team (namely our Business Skills Consultant) to ensure alignment of curriculums and approach

  • Deliver curriculums, tools and materials either personally or through 3rd party suppliers

  • Measure and evaluate the business impact and ROI of agreed development programmes and activities.

  • Responsible for control of budgetary spend as agreed in contracting phase

  • Run regular agreed communication/briefing sessions with the People and Change team to ensure they fully understand current propositions and future planned propositions in order that they can manage/direct business development needs

  • Develop and build effective relationships with stakeholders to ensure engagement and alignment with people proposition and best practice.

  • Play a key role in shaping the learning environment

REQUIREMENTS:

  • The successful job holder should have proven leadership and talent development experience working in a corporate environment

  • Knowledge and experience of working across the full learning and development cycle from needs analysis to evaluation

  • A proven ability to create, as well as curate, targeted learning content

  • Proven ability to work with learning management/experience systems to create an engaging user experience

  • An awareness of evidence based leadership development, learning and coaching theories

  • Experience of learning technologies is required to provide solutions in the most learner appropriate and cost efficient way

  • A track record in successful management and delivery of development projects and programmes delivered through multiple channels

  • Creative hands on training experience with excellent knowledge of different learner preferences

  • Expertise and experience of identifying and managing 3rd party external suppliers.

  • A network of external suppliers and specialists

  • Building effective relationships

  • Effective communications and presentation skills

  • Strong coaching and facilitation skills

  • Stakeholder management

  • Instructional design

  • Influencing skills

  • An understanding, and experience of, developing personalised and adaptive learning solutions

  • Previous experience of developing learning analytics

  • A background in Organisational Psychology
