We're working with a financial services firm based in the West End London, on an opportunity for an HR Manager to take over responsibility from the current whom is being promoted to a more specialist role. As HRM you will report to the Global Head of HR and manage a team of two, as well as act as main point of contact for the London office of around 100. This role operates as part of a broader group of organisations.

Your main stakeholder would be the CEO, so prior experience in a small firm would be ideal as would experience of managing other HR team members.

Responsibilities would include:

Overseeing the recruitment process, managing agency relationships, conducting interviews for senior positions, agree offers etc.

Review payroll (several entities) as part of final checking process

Oversee performance review processes for each business area, supporting senior stakeholders with conducting performance meetings

Resolve employee relations cases including capability investigations, grievances, disciplinaries ensuring legal compliance adhered to

Identify and develop training coaching senior managers on managing staff effectively

Oversee processes that the junior HR team manage such as onboarding

Manage the junior HR teams performance and support their development

Various other tasks and ad-hoc projects such as with acquisitions, employee engagement and culture

Candidates suitable for this opportunity will:

Be educated to degree level (2:1+) or equivalent and ideally have a CIPD qualification

Have acted in a management capacity in HR

Be confident acting as a largely standalone Manager (supported by an HR Adviser + HR Assistant), responding to all queries from senior stakeholders and being main escalation point of contact

Have worked in financial or professional services
