Are you looking for a role where you will work closely with an MD who truly values HR's business contribution and wants to hire a best in class, commercial HRD as their "right arm"?

Our confidential global client is a well-established and profitable market leader in its specialist sector, with a well-deserved reputation for quality. They are an innovative values-led manufacturing and service organisation whose c1,000 UK based employees are key to its ability to deliver the highest quality products and services to its demanding customers.

The MD truly sees the value in developing people and "gets" the HR agenda. His emphasis is to turn around the UK business, focus on operational improvements and increase profitability. The opportunity for HR to make a massive difference to the success of this division cannot be over-emphasised.

From a strategic perspective, the successful candidate will partner the business' leadership team to stabilise the business and achieve the turnaround. Underpinning this change is a need to culturally align the UK and Ireland with the European HQ's values, culture and operations.

Leading a small HR team, you will develop a consistent culture, drive enhanced operational performance, and shape talent, capability and engagement solutions which will be key to success.

The ideal candidate will be a highly influential, commercially astute, and credible HR professional. They will be a confident, resilient and flexible individual with strong business acumen and a successful track record in commercial HR business partnering. They will be an excellent relationship builder used to working with a European HR function, so will have a collaborative and collegiate mindset and have an exceptional focus on operational excellence.

Whilst specific sector experience is not a pre-requisite, strong candidates will be able to demonstrate their ability to work at pace within an industrially focused B2B business.

The successful candidate is likely to live to the West of London and spend much of their working week at the UK HQ. Additionally, you will visit the other UK and Ireland sites as well as undertake occasional trips to the European HQ.
