HR Manager - £35-40k & benefits – Staffordshire

This is a newly created role which offers an excellent opportunity to join a market leading B2B organisation. The role reports into the Head of HR, and the HR team supports c800 employees.

Role purpose:

The purpose of this role is to lead the HR Operations, Recruitment & Payroll team. Identifying trends within the business, and developing strategies to reduce the effects on the business. The successful candidate will also review, develop and implement policies to ensure compliance with new legislation and case law, as well as leading an effective recruitment department, encompassing attraction, on boarding and induction. 

Key Accountabilities:

  • Looking after the life cycle of an employee, and being a point of contact for employees and managers. 
  • Managing & developing the administration team, HR Assistants and Recruitment Administrator
  • Working closely with the HR BPs and line managers to resolve employee relations issues
  • Supporting managers to undertake absence management reviews
  • Advising managers who may need carry out investigation meetings
  • Supporting managers through the PMP system & ensuring deadlines are adhered to..
  • Working with the Recruitment Administrator to identify the best route to attract candidates.
  • Responsible for the data retained by the HR & payroll department,
  • Setting up & establishing reports and a matrix for an HR dashboard.

 

 

The ideal candidate will have/be:

  • An experienced HR Manager, ideally gained in a unionised manufacturing environment.
  • CIPD Level 5 qualified (or equivalent)
  • People manager with experience of managing people with various skill levels and expertise.
  • Strong administration and organisational skills, priortising work and working to deadlines.
  • Advanced Microsoft excel skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and customer service skills
  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and written.
  • Maintaining confidentiality at all times.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
