A fantastic interim opportunity to support a busy organisation in Stoke. This will be an ongoing placement but will be expected to be for around 3 months.

As a HR Advisor you will be:

To advise on and promote good employee relations through the consistent application of legally compliant, straightforward, fair and equitable HR policies and procedures for first line queries.
To escalate complex queries to the HR Business Partner or Manager
To train line managers and develop understanding of employee relations and to act as the first point of contact for advice on employee relations cases including Investigation, Disciplinary, Performance Improvement and Grievance
To support line managers with the Attendance Improvement process i.e. advising on cases where individuals are reporting poor health, have hit a trigger and Occupational Health Referrals
To advise on and calculate occupational and statutory sickness, maternity, paternity, adoption, parental leave and annual leave entitlements
To assist line managers in the conducting of Stress Risk Assessments and Wellbeing Meetings
To use data, knowledge of employee relations cases and to work closely with the Facilities Coordinator to advise on wellbeing initiatives, to support the success of our wellbeing strategy
To assist the HR Business Partner in the development and review of HR policies and procedures in line with updates to legislation and best practice.
To maintain accurate HR record, taking proper account of GDPR obligations
To issue formal documents, for example offers of employment and contracts, and changes to terms and conditions to managers and employees
To provide administrative support for projects as required
Any other ad hoc duties as specified by the HR business partner or manager.

In order to be considered you must have:

Strong experience within ER including grievances
Recent experience within a HR Advisor/Generalist role
Be willing to support a busy team
Work as a team player
CIPD qualified

Hours can be flexible so 4 days could be considered if necessary. Salary FTE of £32,000.
