A leading global provider of specialised medical care with offices in London are looking to recruit a Head of Reward to join their wider Human Resources and Personnel team.

Description

The Head of Reward will have responsibility for:

  • Providing leadership and direction to the development and maintenance of all relevant HR/Reward related policies and procedures.

  • The strategic oversight into the introduction and maintenance of a new HR system and the provision of HR data to support Business Partners, reward and benefits strategies and the companys objectives.

  • The management of the Reward Centre of Excellence team.

  • Fostering and maintaining relationships with external professional bodies, advisers and consultants e.g. legal advisers, reward and benefits providers and specialists.

  • Ensuring all aspects of Reward are focused on diversity and inclusiveness to ensure accessibility and equality of approach to all colleagues.

Job responsibilities

  • Lead and provide strategic direction to the development of salary, recognition and benefits strategies to ensure the adoption of best practice and alignment to the strategic objectives.

  • Develop and lead the implementation of related policies and procedures and systems to support the growth of the company and delivery of HR strategies.

  • Ensure salary, recognition and benefits strategies (both tangible and non-tangible), policies and reporting comply with their principles, governance and are legally compliant.

  • Provide expert advice to the leadership and annual remuneration processes ensuring these are fair and equitable and in line with the reward strategy.

  • Provide oversight of their approach to job evaluation to maintain consistency and fairness and assess appropriate methodologies.

  • Ensure regular benchmarking and market related pay research is undertaken when necessary to enable

  • Increases awareness, understanding and appreciation of the value of the total rewards package that consists of base pay, incentives, benefits, retirement programs, work/life balance programs, recognition, performance management/career development, and other fringe benefits.

  • Recommends changes and/or additions to programs that reflect the changing needs of the organization and its employees.

  • Provide leadership and direction to the introduction of a new HR system and ensure existing HR processes are maintained and compliant until the new system is in place.

  • Define and implement a strategic approach to HR data analytics for HR and the business. Ensuring the provision of strategic HR management information and performance data including reward and benefits audits.

  • Keep abreast of the external environment and ensure the HR systems continue to be compliant with GDPR principles and related legislation.

  • Develops and implements programs to measure, improve, and reward employee performance.

  • Manages or supports special projects in Reward and Benefits or Human Resources.

Profile

Qualifications, Knowledge, Experience and Skills for the Head of Reward:

  • Progressively responsible Compensation and Benefits experience, inclusive of demonstrated experience managing a Reward team, ideally obtained within a healthcare setting

  • Experience of managing resources, both people and financial.

  • Demonstrable experience of managing projects and delivering successful outcomes.

  • Demonstrable success of building good relationships and partnerships with key influencers across an organisation.

  • Good knowledge of developments and expertise in Reward and Benefits.

  • Experience of leading Systems implementation and upgrades.

  • Demonstrable experience of thought leadership and the development of innovative approaches to complex problems.

  • Flexibility and pragmatism and the ability to deal with ambiguity.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to present clear, well-structured reports and briefs.

  • Ability to think strategically.
