Our confidential client, a UK wide not-for-profit organisation is looking for a new People/ HR Director who will swiftly become part of committed leadership team who are driven by a common purpose. Employing c 6000 colleagues and supporting 3500 people through their services there couldn't be a better time to join a passionate business going through significant change and working with the Executive board, help lead it to the next level.

The new People Director will become a trusted advisor, to the CEO, and the leadership team. They will enable delivery of the long-term organisational strategy through focusing on operational priorities and by strengthening the development and training of their people.

The ambition in this business is undoubted, however and being candid, there is still a lot to be done! This role will appeal to candidates who are comfortable with dealing with the grittier side of HR in a multi-site care/service focussed organisation, along with the strategic elements. Your success will be measured by not only creating a fit for purpose People Strategy but vitally delivering against it.

So, who will this role suit? We're looking for a technically excellent HR professional, ideally with experience of working with volumes of employees across multi-sites.

You may be experienced in working with large blue-chip organisations and feel now is the time to run your own ship for the first time. You will have the ambition and ability to move into the number one position and be ready for that next step. Alternatively, you may already be in a number one role, having already operated as part of an Executive Board in a smaller values-driven organisation.

From a personal perspective, an empathetic, authentic approach when "rolling up one's sleeves" will be important, as is leading your team by example. We are looking for a candidate who will feel energised by making a difference not just to the employees and people touched by the organisation but the wider sector too.
