London-centric HRBP. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded HRBP to make their mark and lead the way for HR on the sector charge.


Responsibilities will include:

  • Contributing to, translating and interpreting policies and procedures in order to provide appropriate, commercial and credible guidance & assistance when required across the HR remit in line with the best in class HR practice
  • Partnering with a number of senior stakeholders to positively participate in the process of defining business strategy & key objectives
  • Attending Sector Senior Leadership Team (SLT) Meetings to report on HR activities whilst identifying potential futures risks and opportunities for the Sector
  • Acting as the escalation point for high risk Employee Relations cases
  • Utilising key HR Management Information to develop strategic initiatives that support the wider sector strategy
  • Providing appropriate challenge to the Sector Leadership Team to ensure their decisions balance the commercial and people needs
  • Actively promoting the HR agenda relating to change processes and the performance management of senior operational staff within the region
  • Coaching individual members of the senior team to help them develop their full potential

Education/Qualifications

  • Graduate calibre, ideally MCIPD qualified or equivalent
  • IT Literate, MS Office/competent in the use of Excel, Power point

Working experience/Personal attributes

  • Experienced HR Business Partner, with a background from Facilities Management, Engineering Industry or the Public Sector
  • Strong generalist HR knowledge/specialisms (e.g. Employee Relations, along with a proven background in working at a strategic level) with the capability to challenge and interpret policies and procedures and their implementation by management teams
  • Experience of working in a matrix environment- utilising resources outside of span of control
  • Excellent knowledge of Employment Law
  • Extensive knowledge of the multi-service contracts market & service delivery to internal & external customers
  • Experience of supporting business development processes
  • Experience of managing and leading change
  • Excellent networking and influencing skills
  • Clear communicator to ensure full understanding of relevant policies and procedures
  • Highly credible and influential at senior management level
  • Excellent relationship management and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to inspire performance in multi-site operations
  • Experience of working positively with Trade Unions and conducting negotiations for pay and terms & conditions
  • Working knowledge of TUPE
