An exciting opportunity to support the Student Hire Manager in coordinating the delivery of onboarding activities, including the allocation of work, introducing changes to ways of working and coaching and counselling members of the team.

This is a 12-month maternity cover part-time role (30 hours per week).

Accountabilities:

*Counsel team members and coach to improve levels of performance
*Plan the inductions for new joiners to the team
*Lead in cross team training
*Support the Student Hire Manager and other team leads in introducing new ways of working and monitor the implementation of changes
*Promote the firm's Flexible Working initiative and manage requests from team members
*Support the team with any operational queries. Act as subject matter expert for the practices and processes in recruitment and onboarding
*Ensure all documents and the graduate hire section of the HRSSC toolkit are up to date and are being used effectively by the team
*Plan and ensure cover for absences within the team
*provide cover for other team leads in their absence

Responsibilities:

*Coordinate the induction for new joiners to the team, and cross team training to develop the skills of people from other teams
*Support the Student Hire Manager with generating ideas for process improvements and ensuring new ways of working are embedded in the team
*Counselling and coaching of team members
*Undertake reviews of the processes to determine improvements
*Undertake regular audits/quality checks to mitigate risk
*Monitor the workload of team members to ensure fair distribution
*Take a lead and encourage the sharing of knowledge and understanding of EY core business and how this relates to the team
*Investigate service issues/failures in KPI or performance to identify improvements to service/performance and escalate to the Student Hire Manager
*Present ideas and initiatives at team meetings, including the Coach Network
*Continuously develop knowledge and expertise of recruitment and onboarding processes
*Produce weekly and monthly management information including detailed analysis
*Measure team members output in terms of productivity and quality and identify areas of focus
*Meet with Team Leaders regularly to ensure workload is effectively split to manage the peaks and troughs of work across the Student Hire team
*Identify early in the process any challenges to meeting recruitment targets and then support in providing resolutions
*Identify and manage training requirements for self and team members
*Lead in the recruitment of new team members


Experience & Qualifications required:

*Knowledge of recruitment and onboarding processes
*Role model in organisational skills
*Able to demonstrate successful track record of process improvements and best use of technology
*Good interpersonal skills in terms of relationship management, operating standards, commercial outlook and attention to detail
*People management and coaching skills
*Degree level, or equivalent, qualification level
