HR Regulatory Advisor

A leading global Investment firm is in the market for a Project Advisor for a period of 12 months.

As a member of the HR department, you will be an integral team member working closely across all of the business functions, but particularly with Legal, Risk and Compliance and Company Secretariat teams, to implement initiatives in the HR Regulatory space such as SMCR, GDPR and IR35.

Working closely with the HR Business Partner team, you will be responsible for the day to day management and oversight of all people aspects of SMCR and other regulatory initiatives and will ensure that all regulatory requirements are communicated to relevant colleagues, line managers and other key stakeholders to embed a risk aware culture within the firm.

In this role you will oversee the day to day management and adherence to HR owned SMCR processes, for example ensuring new job descriptions are assessed as in/out of scope and working closely with HR business partners to draft Statements of Responsibility for Senior Managers etc.

You will also play a key role in embedding the HR aspects of new or changing EMEA markets and conduct related regulations within the business.

In conjunction with HR you will participate in employee compliance projects and programmes, including developing and maintaining project timelines and deliverables.

You will also be responsible for the implementing, revising & reviewing related policies and processes related to knowledge/training and competency framework policy, and provide training and briefing sessions on HR regulatory initiatives to colleagues as required.

You will have the opportunity to shape and build this role out as your own. You'll be the subject matter expert on regulations such as SMCR and relevant parts of MIFID II, providing specialist advice from an HR perspective and participating in industry and peer groups to keep abreast of changes in the industry and how the industry is interpreting regulation

In order to be considered for this opportunity, you should have a working understanding of and experience in EMEA regulatory developments, both the process of regulation and the application of regulation to the business. You should also have familiarity with other global regulations which have people impacts.

Ideally you will have a background in a 'buy-side' environment within financial services and have prior experience in an HR or Employee Compliance role

If this describes your skill set and you are looking for that next role, send your cv to Frazer Jones today.
