HR Officer - 1 year FTC to start May/June 2019 - Lincoln - £25000 to £28000 DOE and qualifications


Your new company
A stable and reputable organisation with 2 sites in Lincolnshire, a head office in London and other sites in the UK - are looking to recruit a HR Officer to be based at their site on the outskirts of Lincoln.
This role is cover a period of maternity leave.

Your new role
To start on 3rd June 2019 for a period of upto 1 year - this role is a varied, busy and interesting - with no 1 day being the same.
Reporting to the HR Director in London, and other reporting lines to Operational Managers, you will be the sole HR representative for the 2 Lincolnshire based sites, aswell as supporting other multiple sites around the UK.
You will cover all aspects of HR - from HR administration, HR advise/guidance, ER (disciplinary & grievance procedures), absence management, HR reporting, benefits administration & management, recruitment/onboarding, appraisal assistance, H&S liaison and training coordination/ management.
You will also cover the automated monthly payroll submissions, check/review and processing - payroll experience is ideal but NOT necessary as the present incumbent will be present for 2 payroll runs to train in this area.
You may get involved in HR related projects throughout the year such as the Apprenticeship programme, TUPE etc.
Although you will be mainly based in the Lincoln site, there is a requirement to go to London HQ 1 day every 2-4 weeks for various meetings, and to support other sites occasionally.

What you'll need to succeed
The successful applicant will have a full range of generalist HR experience from an operational/blue collar background including HR advise, ER, recruitment and reporting.
Payroll experience would be beneficial but is NOT necessary as you will be trained over 2 pay runs until the present incumbent goes on maternity leave.
Ideally level 3 or 5 CIPD qualification is desired - but applicants of equivalent level of experience are also welcome.

What you'll get in return

The role is paying £25000 to £28000 DOE and qualification level.
The hours are 8am to 4pm (missing core rush hour traffic times) but can be slightly flexible.
Above statutory holiday days - 25 days plus the Bank Holidays
Bonus (this will be prorata for the time served)
Pension, PMI, DIS
