A complex engineering business based in Leeds that is currently going through a period of significant change.
Description
As the HR Manager you will be visible on the shop floor and own everything to do with people in the business from both a strategic and operational perspective. Recent changes mean that there will be significant work to do around the business culture and the impact HR can have on that change.
This role will be challenging and rewarding with the successful candidate being comfortable with challenging and pushing back on senior management - wall flowers and shrinking violets need not apply!!
Profile
The successful HR Manager will:
- have previously worked in a similar stand alone operational and strategic HR role - ESSENTIAL
- build relationships quickly and effectively - ESSENTIAL
- be a strong written and verbal communicator - ESSENTIAL
- be confident to challenge senior management - ESSENTIAL
- be resilient and patient in equal measures - ESSENTIAL
- previously have worked in an engineering or blue collar environment - ESSENTIAL
- have exposure to payroll - DESIRABLE
- hold the CIPD or equivalent qualification - DESIRABLE
- be available immediately or on a short notice period - DESIRABLE
Job Offer
This is a permanent HR Manager role based in West Leeds with free on-site parking and an early finish on a Friday!
The salary will be up to £38,000
