In this fairly autonomous role, the Training and Development Officer will report into the Training and Development Manager, and work with another officer to evaluate, design and deliver training to employees in Head office and field based financial advisors. The role is full time, based in Bromley and requires travel to deliver training around the UK. The role may require some overnight stays.

My client are a financial services firm based in Bromley.


The main priority for the role is to design and deliver specific training programmes centring around financial services to employees in Head office and field based employees. Other accountabilities include;

  • Comply with the training needs analysis carried out by the T&D Manager to roll out any required training to employees, with a specific focus on financial services industry
  • Write and deliver innovative and engaging training materials
  • Assess employees in the initial onboarding process and provide documented evidence of successful results
  • Deliver customer service training sessions to ensure customer first business strategy is maintained
  • Support with training needs analysis
  • Outline training schedules and resource allocation


  • You will have 3 + years experience in a training role, ideally in a financial services
  • You will have experience designing and delivering lesson plans and programmes
  • You will have good communication skills
  • You will be degree educated
  • You will be CIPD level 5 qualified or above
  • You will be able to work in a team and autonomously
