Oakleaf Partnership are pleased to be working with a leading, US law firm on an exciting new vacancy. This is a Graduate Development Officer vacancy for a 12 month contract based in their London office.

Responsibilities will include (but not limited to):

Liaising with trainee partners and organising the seat move process for trainee solicitors

Liaising with departments to allocate supervisors for each trainee.

Managing the secondment process for trainees overseas and for client secondments.

Liaising with overseas offices and clients to organise placements including obtaining visas, accommodation, etc.

Supporting the L&D officer with events and the induction programme

Attending relevant marketing events, including law fairs and vacation scheme socials.

Working closely with the Head of Recruitment, GRDM and the Inclusion and Diversity manager ensuring best practice methods and supporting to manage diversity events

Screening applications and reviewing video interviews

Tracking sickness of trainees and managing absence.

Assisting the GRDM in ad-hoc matters relating to trainee development e.g. projects

The ideal candidate will be/have:

Experience of a similar role within a professional services organisation at officer/advisor level

Educated to degree level or equivalent

A flexible approach to meet current and future business needs

A good knowledge of relevant IT systems

Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills

Excellent organisational skills

Ability to build rapport at all levels

Collaborative approach
