This role is being offered on a 6 - 12 month fixed term contract basis and can be based in any of our PwC Offices nationally.
About the Team The Technology and Innovation team within Learning Design, are embarking on a journey to transform the way we deliver learning solutions across our firm. We are looking to enhance our team with a diverse set of skills and are looking for individuals with creativity, videography experience and a keen interest in emerging technology. If you have a background in media or the creative industry this role will offer you the opportunity to introduce your knowledge and help us transform the way we deliver learning to our people.

The team has recently been created to research, develop and deliver cutting edge learning experiences. Tomorrow’s learners will expect transformative digital and live learning environments, and this team is focussed on providing them.

Reporting to the Instructional Design, Evaluation & Assessment and Technology Innovation Leader, you’ll be a hugely curious self-starter, ideally with prior experience in either a professional services environment, or a Technology Specialist role. You’ll need to demonstrate a strong breadth and depth of skill in working with technology for learning, both digital and face to face.

About the Role Responsible for research & development, prototyping, piloting and embedding new technologies in our internal learning solutions.

You’ll be required to

- Research, develop, and implement new technology/tools into our internal development solutions, including production of any process documentation for its adoption

- Demonstrate an innovative and creative approach to learning design and provide an opinion on how to digitalise existing learning initiatives

- Work with instructional designers and authors to agree design approaches and collaboratively develop transformative learning solutions

- Engage with Learning Design colleagues and business stakeholders to explore new opportunities through applied research & development

- Build relationships with third parties/vendors and actively explore their platforms/tools to validate their value based on our learning solution needs

- Educate colleagues on emerging technologies, investing time to share your findings and expertise, and to help drive and demonstrate a digital mindset

- Be prepared to occasionally travel within the UK and abroad

- Film and edit video content to a high and professional standard where required for specific projects.

Requirements Essential

- Experience of embedding tools/technologies within an internal organisation

- Experience managing technology projects

- Have evidence of bringing new and innovative approaches to learning delivery

- A strong technical understanding of existing learning technologies such as elearning and Learning Management Systems

- Proven ability to self-motivate and work independently as well as a track record of working professionally and collaboratively as part of a wider-team

- The ability to work with external clients and suppliers, and deal with detailed requirements to achieve our goals

- Ability to build and maintain good relationships

- Experience of coaching others, sharing insight, and articulating opinions clearly to a group with varied levels of technical knowledge

- Ability to communicate confidently and effectively, both in written and verbal form

- Significant attention to detail, able to manage time effectively meet challenging deadlines

- Effectively use online collaboration tools e.g. virtual meetings and Google G Suite

Desirable

- Experience working with emerging technologies such as virtual and augmented reality, chatbots, machine learning etc.

- Demonstrate the ability to use, or quickly learn how to use, graphics, video development and video editing software (e.g. Adobe Creative Cloud) to create training assets for courses

- Experience of learning theory including Bloom’s taxonomy and 70:20:10
