Job Details
A new exciting opportunity for an employee relations specialist within a Regional role. I am looking for a HR Professional who has extensive experience within ER and business partnering to working within a fast paced, well known organisation.
The role is based across 3 sites, Manchester, Birmingham and London so candidates must be happy to work within a regional role. A typical week could look like : 1 day from home, 2 days Heathrow, 1 day Manchester, 1 day Birmingham so I will consider candidates based within any of these regions who is accessible across all areas. Mileage/expenses are fully paid and there are options to take hire cars.
The role:
Partner operational business managers in all ER related activity
Build positive and constructive relationships with managers at all levels and support the wider HR service
Ensure delivery of ER activity within agreed KPI's.
Ensure compliance with legislative and company requirements, developing policies, procedures and training accordingly.
Identify and proactively manage risk in relation to disciplinary; grievance; performance and absence management processes.
Prepare for, and attend, Employment Tribunals, acting as a representative for the Company.
Coach senior and middle management level colleagues to ensure they follow best practice in managing activity and cases.
Mentoring HR Advisors as part of our Nurture to Grow value.
Analyse HR metrics and provide dashboard reports to senior operational managers, identifying trends and formulating action plans accordingly.
Oversee local agreements with trade unions and escalate any issues raised.
Deliver training to assist in the understanding and competency of managers.
Support on ad hoc projects and tasks, as directed by the Senior HR Business Partner.
Your Profile:
Level 7 CIPD qualified with experience in a Business Partner/similar level role.
Experience of successful management of complex ER cases.
Up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation.
Experience of working in a large and complex environment.
Flexibility for weekly travel and overnight stay across the UK.
Positive, can-do approach with ability to build rapport and trust quickly and effectively.
Capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
Analytical approach with ability to interpret HR data.
Strong IT skills, particularly Word and Excel.
Experience of working in a unionised environment would be desirable.
