My client, a multinational Telecommunications organisation are recruiting for a Talent Manager to join their London team.

This role will support the relevant functional HR teams to support the transformation agenda by ensuring they have diverse leaders in the right roles with the right leadership capability as they move forwards. It's critical that they attract and develop a diverse pipeline of talent to give the organisation the injection of new ideas, capability and passion it needs. The leadership strategy sets out the behaviours they expect of their leaders and this role plays a critical role in ensuring that they have the right interventions in place to support this. The role holder will also play a critical role in working with the business to create an inclusive culture and that their HR processes support e.g. Performance Management, Engagement and Talent etc.

Role:

Deploys and embeds the talent strategy and plan, programmes and events (identification, development & retention) working through the HRBP's and with the business.

Deliver the appropriate toolkit using the COE framework and where needed, function specific solutions to accelerate development and capability

Manage the functions succession plan(s), working with HRBP's and senior leadership team to ensure risks are mitigated and individual development plans are in place

Identify current and future capability needs, design where necessary and deploy actions to reduce the business risk

Advises on appropriate leadership interventions to shift behaviours and create new insights

Leads the D&I agenda for their functional area, ensuring appropriate leadership sponsorship is in place.

Manages graduate and apprentice programmes for units

Is able to provide insight against all KPI's for their functional teams to drive the right decisions and actions.

Skills required for the job:

Understands how high performing teams operate.

Works collaboratively with core virtual HR team to contribute effectively to its success.

Experience of working across different geographies and cultures and taking a global mind set.

Brings gravitas and influence at all levels to build an effective coalition of sponsors and supporters

Is a proactive self-starter with the resilience to keep going when things get tough, and can find ways to knock down or work around barriers and 'bumps in the road'

Someone who has a sense of urgency and will roll their sleeves up and get things done when needed

Ability to prioritise and organise many competing demands

Ability to translate strategy into operational plans and then deliver them

Ability to communicate complexity in a straightforward way (presentations, spoken word)

Knowledge and experience of how to create the conditions which lead to behavioural and cultural change
