Description

Our Team

The team comprises 6 Pension & Benefits professionals and an extended wellbeing team of 4 and sits within the wider London branch HR team of 75. Across the UK we liaise with another 11+ HR colleagues with benefits remits as well as with their wider teams.

Key Responsibilities for the Group Benefits Specialist:

Reporting to the UK Group Benefits Manager, this jobholder will be expected to:

  • Support the Group Pension & Benefits function around day to day operational management and key strategic projects
  • Manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders, including most notably the group's flexible benefits, share plan, salary sacrifice car scheme and ad hoc health and wellbeing
  • To be the main contact point in liaison with HR Business Partners, payroll & support teams around benefits matters, escalations and change management processes
  • Act as a technical validator for all benefits invoices prior to payment
  • Support the team around pension-related activities with other adhoc pension work involved
  • Analyse benefits data and trends, reporting on KPIs as part of a quarterly dashboard
  • Participate in benefits surveys and carry out benchmarking with other organisations on benefits issues
  • Support engagement plans around benefits, pensions & wellbeing as well as communicating benefit changes, pension, tax and legislation changes

Profile

The ideal Group Benefits Specialist will have:



* University-level degree (or equivalent)

* Prior experience of supporting an in-house reward function

* Demonstrable experience of working in a benefits role, either in-house or within a benefits consultancy, including flexible benefits and exposure to pension schemes
* Good organisation and prioritisation skills including the ability to manage upwards and take ownership

* Be able to build good relationships with colleagues, employees and 3rd party providers

* Experience of working on high profile projects (liaising with staff at various levels of seniority, other HR & functions colleagues, external advisors & consultants)

* Experience leading and managing projects autonomously but with support if required

* Strong communication skills, ideally with experience of rolling out mass communications for reward initiatives and projects

* Technical/data analysis & reporting skills including intermediate/advanced Microsoft Excel skills

* Demonstrable experience problem solving and implementing solutions

* Be confident and comfortable making recommendations to (and challenging) senior members of the team and representing the UK team across the business

* Able to manage own tasks and work autonomously
