Job Title: HR Manager/Business Partner

Location: South-East London (London Bridge Area)

Start Date: ASAP

Contract Type: Interim Day Rate or Fixed Term Contract

Pay: Circa £70k per annum or £400 per day

Duration: 4 months initially

What can we tell you about this super business?

We are recruiting for one of our financial services clients and they need an extra pair of hands while they recruit a couple of people onto the HR team. This is an extremely successful business with a lot of bright individuals that are very professional in their approach. We are looking for a strong HR generalist that understands the nuances of working in the FS sector.

The HR team is not very big and they need someone that is not precious about handling a real mixed bag of work.

What will be keeping you busy?

You will turn your hand to a variety of activities and the key to being successful in this contract will be a willingness to roll your sleeves up and help the team with whatever needs doing. Some of this may centre around a review of recruitment processes, looking at policy and process.

You will also get involved with HR documentation and ensuring that manuals and policies are up to date. Contracts will need to be issued and there is also a project coming up that will involve reviewing job descriptions and another that will focus on updating review forms ahead of upcoming appraisals later this year.  

Who are we looking for?

It is important that you have financial services experience and you will have solid generalist HR experience. If you have overseen some recruitment projects and a review of recruitment processes then this would certainly be useful. You may get involved with reviewing payroll and if you have any pensions or benefits experience that would be an added bonus but experience of these areas is not a deal breaker. With payroll you would not be crunching numbers, just overseeing the relationship with the outsourced provider.

Fit is important. Our client would like to see people that are personable and switched on. You will be a team player that is both dedicated and honest in their approach. You will have a mature head on your shoulders with the ability to engage with people at all levels. We are looking for high EQ and a sense of pride in your work.

This is a fast paced environment so you will need to understand the speed that people work at with an awareness of what is going on around you and adapt accordingly. If you are a good interim then you should be well versed in being a bit of a chameleon!

Ultimately you will be an articulate and decent human being that engenders confidence in your ability.
