Oakleaf Partnership are working with a leading, global law firm who are looking to recruit an L&D Advisor/Manager. This will be a 12 month FTC covering a maternity leave. Based in the City, this person will be working closely with the Head of L&D, Director of HR, Learning & Know-How and the wider L&D team.

You will be responsible for (but not limited to):

Supporting with core career, talent and skills programmes

Leading or co-leading elements of our talent programmes, e.g. for associates, female talent, aspects of business services development

Delivery and facilitation of sessions within programmes

Working with internal/external specialists to review and refresh content

Working individually and with the team on programme implementation, admin & logistics

Following up on training, giving feedback, 1:1 coaching

Making training accessible and available to all offices via technology and other means

Using L&D Learning Management System (LMS) and looking at new ways to develop and implement new functionality

Generating and analysing data from the LMS to inform business decisions

Assisting in other aspects of work - examples may include sponsorship agreements, QLTS requests, policy drafting and implementation etc.

Various other projects in the firm-wide 'People' plan and L&D strategy

This person will ideally be/have:

Previous involvement at this level, or being ready to take on this level of role having been part of an L&D team elsewhere

Full training cycle experience (training needs analysis, design, facilitation, delivery and evaluation)

Awareness of current L&D trends and commercial L&D options to meet needs

Very strong training, presentation and facilitation skills

Management and creation experience of development programmes from scratch and innovating existing programmes

Experience of development and assessment centres

Ability to work and interact with groups and on 1:1 basis

Strong advisory skills and able to consult on needs, make recommendations and deal with challenges/different views to find the best solution to meet business needs

Experience managing processes and systems and use of Microsoft Excel

Experience working in a professional services environment/law firm

Part or fully CIPD qualified - understands broader business and HR issues too

Experience of psychometrics and/or qualified in some
