Payroll & HR Shared Services Team Leader
Our client based in Manchester city centre have recently gone through a significant period of change and this is an exciting opportunity to join their global business who are a leader in their specific industry. Managing a team of 4 within their HR Shared Services in Manchester, as an experienced HR Shared Services Team Leader or Payroll Team Leader you will be responsible for:
*Deliver and maintain the HR administration and payroll services according to country specific HR principles and legislation.
*Work with the Senior HRBP to develop in role development opportunities to enrich roles in the team and develop new capability in the areas of HR advisory support, HR reporting, HRIS and benefits provision and L&D Administration.
*Develop a visible quality management and improvement framework to deliver excellent service levels.
*Manage and monitor project activity and delivery in relation to HR and Payroll services.
*Work with the HRIS Project Manager to deliver in any HR systems and data migrations/new system implementations associated with the stand alone set-up.
*Working alongside the HRIS Project Manager to develop in-house capability for HR reporting and HR systems so that performance, processes and systems are optimised.
*To be aware of and comply with all company policies and procedures
*You may also be required to carry out any other duties within the scope and purpose of this role as requested by your line manager and in line with business needs.
The ideal candidate will have/has:
* managed generalist HR administration teams within a professional HR Shared Service team.
* experience within a fast-paced HR Shared Service environment, responding quickly and prioritising various requests from a number of different parties
* experience of managing payroll teams at a management/team leader level
* in depth technical understanding of payroll processing (hands-on)
* excellent knowledge of UK payroll tax framework and experience preparing and filing the relevant returns
* exposure to broader HR processes
The role will pay up to £45k depending upon experience and benefits include a bonus and competitive pension contributions.
