The Recruitment Partner will provide a comprehensive in-house resourcing service to the organisation, working with the HR Business Partners to support workforce planning; providing expert advice on applicant attraction, assessment and on-boarding. The successful candidate will lead and develop a team of 3 to drive the continuous improvement of the University's recruitment service.

Description

The Recruitment Partner will be University's principal recruitment specialist, providing expert advice and guidance to managers and leading on major recruitment programmes, in addition to driving the performance of the recruitment team.

  • Manage recruitment campaigns for academic, specialist and senior management roles and participate in selection panels.
  • Support the Head of HR Operations in researching, developing, implementing and negotiating recruitment practice, appointment and promotion procedures for the University.
  • Produce recruitment KPI reports on recruitment trends and outputs, including an annual report and recommendations relating to the progress of minorities at the University in terms of promotion, recruitment and progress.
  • Ensure that all recruitment activity complies with UKVI and DBS requirements as necessary
  • Motivating and developing the recruitment team to develop and sustain first class and responsive service.
  • Working with the HR leads to imbed outstanding customer service, implementing new initiatives and SLA's as required.
  • Research and develop recruitment methodologies, such as tests, exercises and assessment centres. Train HR and managers in latest techniques, best practice and keep associated policies and procedures up to date.
  • Develop positive action initiatives to support the organisation's Equality and Diversity Strategy.
  • Undertake research and make recommendations to develop the organisation's employer brand and social media presence.

Profile

We're looking for a Recruitment Partner with the following skills and experience:

  • A breadth of in-house resourcing experience across the public and private sector organisations. Some experience of delivering an in-house recruitment service in the Higher Education is preferable.

  • Track record of developing and enhancing an in-house resourcing service

  • Extensive people management experience

  • Knowledge of the relevant employment law and best practice in recruitment and selection including UKVI procedures

  • Ability to influence and manage projects

  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Ability to develop an organisation's employer brand and social media presence to support talent attraction

  • Ability to develop and analyse resourcing analytics to inform recruitment strategy

  • Track record of developing positive action initiatives to promote equality and diversity in recruitment

  • CIPD or specialist recruitment qualification is desirable

Job Offer

3-6 Month Fixed Term Contract, salary £45-53,000 dependant on experience
