Senior HR Advisor

Your new company

My client have undertaken a large scale expansion program and due to their continued success, they now have an opportunity for an experienced HR Advisor to join their team in Stoke on Trent.


Your new role

To work in partnership with the HR manager and leadership team to deliver the HR strategy. To monitor and promote good employee relations through the consistent application of legally compliant, straightforward, fair and equitable HR policies and procedures

You will advise, coach and support managers in the business in all aspects of people management, including recruitment, selection and induction, performance management and appraisal, development, talent and succession planning and management, grievance and disciplinary management, absence management, and career counselling as appropriate .

As Senior HR Advisor you will provide advice and guidance to employees on all employment issues as required, ensuring that all advice is in line with Company practices, procedures and current employment legislation. You will advise the business on complex employment issues, including TUPE, liaising with the external legal advisor as appropriate whilst acting as the main point of contact and account manage third-party suppliers as required, for example external benefits providers and recruitment companies.

You will manage and develop the HR assistant in line with company people management policies and processes whilst preparing, organising and delivering internal training as required.

This is a fantastic opportunity for HR Advisor who have reached the internal ceiling in their current roles and looking to take on a role which will prepare you for a HRBP role in the future.



What you'll need to succeed

You will have a strong track record operating as a HR generalist with CIPD or equivalent qualification.

You will have strong relationship building skills; able to quickly build rapport with excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills at all levels.

Being commercially aware and working with tenacity and resilience is critical to the success of this position.

  • Previous experience of managing people
  • Previous experience of OD and job evaluation
  • Previous experience of managing budgets
  • Educated to degree level
  • Qualified to administer and interpret psychometric tests
  • A & B mediation



What you'll get in return

The role attracts a salary of c£28,000-£32,000 plus pension, healthcare, life assurance and free city centre parking.
