The Careers & Enterprise Company was established in 2015 to help link schools and colleges to employers, in order to increase employer engagement for young people. Our mission is to prepare and inspire young people for the fast-changing world of work.

This is an exciting time at The Careers & Enterprise Company. During our first three years, we have worked with Local Enterprise Partnerships to build a national network which now links 2,000 schools and colleges to employers. We have also funded 150 programmes to provide high-quality employer engagement activities to young people where they are needed most.

This is an exceptional opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced HR Director to lead the HR agenda through a period of rapid growth as we go from scale up to a mature organisation. Our organisation was established four years ago, and we have been growing rapidly since.

We are looking for an inspiring leader to support and enable the development of the organisation through a fully integrated HR function that encompasses the whole breadth of recruitment, learning and organisational development, business partnering and employee engagement.

We kicked off an Employee Engagement strategy in the spring of this year. You will help to implement the three streams of work that emerged from that around L&D (a major focus for us given our growth), Internal Communications and Ways of Working. You will take another pulse check next year and refine the strategy at that point.

Alongside this strategic work you will help ensure continuous improvement in the day to day running of the organisation, supported by a committed HR team which you will continue to develop and manage.

As a member of the senior leadership team you will help the company to deliver its company objectives through the HR strategy. You will be a key member of the SLT working closely with the CEO and deputy CEO and providing strategic advice across the senior team.

Our organisation has a privileged opportunity to make a difference to the lives of millions of young people, helping to inspire and prepare them for the fast-changing world of work, and we want you to help us make it happen.

To apply, please submit a CV and a covering letter (no more than 2 sides of A4). Please be aware applications with no supporting cover letter will not be considered.
