A leading Investment Management firm are currently looking to hire an interim HR Business Partner for an initial 6 month contract with the view to convert to permanent.

Based in London, the HR Generalist will contribute to the development and effective delivery of HR strategies and services working in partnership with managers and employees within designated departments across European offices. Through managing relationships and having a thorough understanding of both the department's business and people challenges, the HR Generalist will effectively develop a keen understanding of local priorities and business challenges in order to effectively champion appropriate HR solutions.

The Generalist should be prepared to work autonomously and advise and provide services in all areas that require support

Responsibilities include:

Own the recruitment life cycle and processes for designated teams:

    • Focus on attracting the best candidates
    • Demonstrate experience of supporting business hires of at least 10 roles concurrently
    • Ensure recruitment processes are clear, efficient and support business needs
    • Oversee recruitment and selection process ensuring they closely align to the firms global recruiting standards
    • Support diversity initiatives
    • Guide Hiring Managers through the selection process whilst ensuring consistency and fairness in the process
    • Work closely with Hiring Manager on the on-boarding process, ensure the candidate has a great, positive on-boarding experience
    • Be a brand ambassador throughout hiring process to all internal and external resources
    • Extend formal offers in line with approval/budget
  • First point of contact for employee relations matters; ensure minimal escalation of issues through developing a pro-active stance to identifying potential ER matters
    • Advise and support managers on performance management practices including informal performance meetings and implementation of PIPs
    • Support and coach managers on disciplinary and grievance processes, providing appropriate tools and guidance on conducting formal hearings and delivering final outcomes ensuring accurate records are kept
    • Guide managers through difficult conversations with their employees
    • Collaborate to support culture change, ensure diversity and inclusion and behaviours are consistently communicated and upheld
    • Listen to employee concerns and action as appropriate
    • Lead and work with the business on any restructure, assist in putting together business cases
    • Strong understanding of local employment law and know where to access expert advice for any relevant countries
    • Respond to employee & manager requests, managing multiple stakeholders
    • Manage and resolve complex employee queries
  • Immigration; works closely with the HR Analyst on internal Global Mobility.
    • Ensure any potential international relocations are discussed and budgeted
    • Updating Global Mobility on changes to any company sponsored employee's details
    • Partner with the business to ensure talent deployment needs are met
  • Learning & Development
    • Get to know the talent across all client groups and partner with all levels of Management to identify business needs, skills gaps and development opportunities
    • Creation and delivery of HR presentations to employees including new hire induction, annual appraisals, performance management
    • Drive key HR initiatives, including performance management, succession planning, annual surveys and employee communications
  • Collaboration with Colleagues in the US
    • Work with Reward team to obtain accurate benchmarking data in support of annual compensation review
    • Work with Resourcing team to understand the wider resourcing budgets and headcounts to support strategic hire across all teams
    • Owns and advise on D&I initiatives/delivery/reports to support the firms Goals and objectives
    • Stay abreast of & communicate changing policies and laws to US colleagues to support communication of local focus and drivers
  • Project Work
    • Actively participate in any HR projects as agreed with Head of HR
