What will be keeping you busy?

You will support across a range of talent activities that will span recruitment, training, the production of talent metrics, employee engagement surveys, succession planning and HR Systems… amongst a variety of other key initiatives. You will work beside the Head of Talent, Recruitment Manager and HR Business Partners to deliver a variety of talent processes, projects and programmes across the Firm

This is a real opportunity to gain all-round experience in a fast paced professional and extremely commercial environment. You will support the HR function with the creation and development of first class talent management interventions and help to gather and analyse the data that will support the decision making processes around career and performance management. You will not be bored, you will be busy and you will gain some incredible experience.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a graduate with at least 1-3 years of experience of working in HR or Talent. We would like to see someone that has worked in a corporate setting such as the financial, legal or professional services sectors. You should be someone that can demonstrate fairly strong academics coupled with some good work experience that you can draw on. If you have worked in Talent that would be great but if you have held a generalist junior HR role with some exposure to talent activities then we would also like to speak to you.

You will work with people at our client’s London office who are very intelligent and naturally inquisitive. They will want to understand the reasons behind new talent initiatives and because of this, you will need to be someone that is engaging and can answer people’s questions with the detail that they are after. You will be someone that is genuinely good at engaging with people and someone that gets stuff done accurately in a fast paced professional environment. You should be able to join the dots and see where your work fits into the bigger HR deliverables.   

You will be someone that is genuinely proactive in their approach to finding solutions.. Our client would like individuals that will make it their business to research different options and make suggestions on what could be done to overcome obstacles. You will need to be genuinely invested in your own development whilst supporting your colleagues in creating a ‘best in class’ talent management function.

To be effective in this role, you will need strong data management, manipulation and visualisation skills (advanced excel strong powerpoint will be essential, as will a working knowledge of HR systems (Workday would be a plus).  problem solving and business acumen along with the confidence to interact with more senior colleagues. Comfort navigating ambiguity, resilience, organised thinking, communication skills, and a willingness to engage in both solution design and tactical implementation are also critical to success in this position.  A flexible, can-do attitude and strong work ethic are essential to being successful in the role.  Staying calm under pressure, strong attention to detail and accuracy when working at pace will be critical to establishing credibility in the role.
