We are delighted to be retained by BrewDog to recruit their People Director.
TheBrewDog People Team has one simple mission, to make it the best place to work, ever.
As People Director you will be responsible for driving a global people strategy which covers all areas of our business from Retail to Production, from the UK to the USA (and beyond!)!
Launched in 2007 by two entrepreneurs, James Watt and Martin Dickie, their simple mission was and continues to be about making other people as passionate about great craft beer as they are.
BrewDog has grown from 277 crew members in 2014 to over 1,500 globally in 2019. On their horizon is a brewery and taproom in Australia, continued expansion of their awesome Retail business and continued growth of the International Sales team.
BrewDog have broken the record for most consecutive years on the Sunday Times Fast Track 100 - 7 years. No other company has achieved this, and it is testament to their continued incredible sustained growth both in the UK and internationally.
BrewDog operates 49 bars in the UK (with 4 more coming soon), 17 European bars (soon to be 20!), 3 USA bars & the world's first Craft Beer Hotel, and other bars across the world, including ace locations like Sao Paolo in Brazil and Roppongi in Japan.
Private equity firm, TSG Consumer Partners acquired a 22% stake in the company for approximately £213 million which has helped the business grow internationally
Job Description

As People Director you will be a key part of the Global Leadership team in shaping the business as they grow, whilst never losing touch of the awesome culture. This role reports into Andy Shaw, CEO Beer
The Successful Applicant
Will have the ability to travel as the business requires, to make this role a success you will be willing to spend 3 days at HQ in Ellon on a weekly basis. This role is full time.
- Extensive experience in an executive people role within a fast growth business or one that has been through significant change
- Management of HR solutions and strategies across continents
- Experience working as part of an executive team
- You will be an Inspiring and engaging leader
- A true believer in people potential and business culture
- Ability to think strategically and deliver operationally
- Operates at speed and pace and innovative people solutions
