You will be working with a highly renowned manufacturing and logistics business located within the Burnley area - just a stones throw from the motorway. Your new employer boasts a headcount of circa 300 employees in a fast-moving and unionised environment. This diverse client is now looking for a Senior HR Advisor to join their growing team following yet another successful year.
Your new role
Your new role will be providing a wealth of generalist support to the greater HR team. As a heavily unionised environment, you will be frequently liaising with trade unions with responsibility over the management of complex casework and employee relations. You will be joining the team at a pivotal time as they look at expanding their business further and implement a new HR System in addition to supporting your HR Manager in various other projects to drive business forward. As the organisation looks to develop its business, you will have the opportunity to have an influence upon cultural change by overseeing the provision of employee engagement initiatives, analysing HR metrics to identify key factors in attrition rates and suggest potential solutions.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a problem-solver and analytical in addition to being a commercially-focused individual. You will have an up-to-date knowledge of employment law and looking to develop your career in HR. You will ideally be CIPD Level 5 qualified as a minimum with experience in working closely with trade unions, and adept to working in a similar industry within a HR function.
