Description

This role of the Associate Director Compensation and Benefits is responsible for managing compensation and benefits programs for a large region, or globally to support the Company's compensation philosophy. It has a strong emphasis on compensation and benefits harmonisation and acquisition-based projects, in addition to typical business as usual responsibilities. As a reward role it is challenging and interesting, operating within a fast-paced environment, and with the global and EMEA wide scope will allow the successful candidate to create depth of knowledge across the 65 countries supported.

Description

  • Design and deliver compensation and benefits programs and solutions to support key business initiatives and goals.

  • Collaborate with Human Resources, global compensation & benefits, and line management to develop and implement effective programs to enable managers to more effectively attract, retain, reward and motivate employees.

  • In collaboration with senior management, may design incentive plans to support achievement of financial and strategic goals and promote global consistency in the use of incentive compensation.

  • Manage annual incentive and salary review process for assigned Business Unit,

  • Supporting global team in setup by leading and participating in sub teams (data audit, budgeting, testing, reporting and communications)

  • Support and advise HR in manager planning and business unit review periods

  • Manage annual salary scales review for assigned countries within EMEA

  • Manage annual salary survey submissions (Towers Watson and Mercer) for EMEA countries

  • Provide internal consulting support to Human Resources and line management on complex compensation/benefits related issues.

  • Ensure that compensation and benefit administration guidelines and practices are established to be externally competitive, consistent with company philosophy and are managed within the organization's financial plan

  • Benefits harmonisation for assigned countries in EMEA - support local HR in developing cost effective recommendations, costings and approval process

  • Conduct country benefit reviews and support country benefit summary project as required

  • Develop budget recommendations and forecasts costs for programs.

  • Mergers & Acquisitions - provide compensation and benefit support for HR due diligence

Profile

Experience for the Associate Director Compensation and Benefits in London:

  • Experience in the design and delivery of base pay, variable compensation, sales compensation and equity programs

  • Experience of working across the EMEA or Global regions

  • Knowledgeable on legislation impacting pay programs.

  • Experience of UK Gender Pay Gap reporting

  • Solid foundation in compensation theories and broad knowledge of practices.

  • Strong analytical and program management skills.

  • Ability to understand business strategy and plans and translate into pro-active compensation processes.

  • Consultative skills, (i.e. idea marketing, negotiation, influencing, relationship building, conflict resolution and effective communication), and collaboration skills across organizations.

  • Effective at meeting deadlines and commitments.

  • Ability to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner.

  • Strong Excel skills
