We are embarking on a journey, following the recent insourcing of our HR function to transform and modernise our services.  This is a new post which has arisen due to an internal promotion and will join a team of HR professionals delivering HR Advisory services across the Council.

A key focus for the role is the development and delivery of new ways of enabling our Managers and employees, through streamlined and accessible employment policies and processes and the development of HR and people data to inform business strategy and performance.

We have circa 4,500 employees across a diverse range of service areas. Additionally we provide HR Advisory services to circa 160 schools. This is a real opportunity to make a real difference and to contribute to the Council's high performance agenda.

The role requires an HR professional who will manage a caseload and provide a generic and agile HR Advisory service to the Council, including supporting the delivery of strategic and operational interventions in line with organisation's business objectives.
