Badenoch + Clark has been engaged by a Professional Services firm in Kent to recruit an experienced HR Advisor. Reporting into the Senior HR Advisor, you will work closely with the HR team and support them in providing a comprehensive and professional HR service to partners, management and employees across the organisation.

Key responsibilities will include:

Work with the HR Manager, Senior HR Officer and HR Officer to provide a comprehensive HR service to the organisation.
Keep colleagues up to date with regards to on-going staff issues, as and when they arise
Responsible for non-routine database entries which include updating the HR system and maintaining electronic personal files
Manage discipline, grievance and routine employee relations situations
Advise line managers in relation to sickness absence to include confidential discussions with staff and make suggestions in relation to rehabilitation or cessation of salary if appropriate, and conducting return to work interviews where necessary
To work with partners and other people managers in situations where they need additional support and guidance
Ensuring that the operational processes are effective, efficient and accurate and constantly looking for improvements to processes where these will save cost or improve service to the business

The successful candidate will have:

A minimum of three years experience working in a HR capacity (within a professional services environment), with one year at advisor level
A good understanding of employment law, best practice and the interpretation of policy
Competent across the various HR functions i.e. employee relations, recruitment, performance management, on-boarding etc.;
Confident in utilising a Human Resource Information System;
Ability to deliver work to commercial and financial targets/deadlines;
Accustomed to dealing with external parties, partners, fee earners and support staff at all levels
Accustomed to dealing with a wide range of issues at one time and working for and with several people at once in competing time frames
