We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HR professional to join our team. This role supports our Technical Training business unit cluster, currently comprising of Gen2, which provides high quality technical education and skills training to employers. The role will involve working with senior leaders and colleagues to deliver a mix of tactical and strategic leadership on all people related aspects of delivering the business strategy, plans and priorities.

We have a number of regional offices in Northern England from which this role could be based. However we are flexible on location and would consider someone being home based within this region, but travel between our offices will be expected.

About the role

You will work with key stakeholders to create and deliver the business unit strategy. This will include supporting the acquisition and integration of businesses into the Technical Training cluster, the design and delivery of change management programmes, understanding core capabilities needed to drive the business and translating these into plans and creating best practice approaches that will support alignment and consistency on people matters where appropriate. You’ll be responsible for delivering all elements of the Group people strategy including key investments such as HRIS, employee experience and engagement strategies and work with colleagues within the HR specialisms such as Reward & L&D to ensure HR projects and initiatives align with and support the business unit aims.

About you

We are looking for someone with proven HR and business experience, including acquisition and integration. Alongside this you will need experience of working across a complex, matrix environment, managing projects across teams and functions. Key to the success of this role is the ability to build relationships and drive decision making through insight, effective engagement and influence. You’ll need personal resilience and be able to inspire and motivate people during complex periods of change. You must be able to effectively prioritise and ensure key programmes and initiatives are delivered effectively and efficiently to achieve the business aims.
