Ashley Kate are pleased to be working with a leisure client who are now seeking an experienced HR Manager to deliver a comprehensive in house HR service - to ensure accurate delivery of all transactional elements across the employee life cycle.

About you
You will be an experienced HR Manager with experience in an SME environment (you will thrive in a fast pace environment where no two days are the same!) who is able to quickly build relationships with key stakeholders and can be hands on to deliver exceptional service. This is a generalist HR role and you will be expected to work across all elements of HR with confidence. You will also be responsible for safeguarding in the club so experience in this area would be hugely advantageous. A flexible approach to the days and hours of work is required.


About the role
As HR Manager you will:
*Manage new starters and leavers process for all employees, casual workers, interns, volunteers. Issue contracts, new starter paperwork, ensure all pre-employment checks are completed, carry out inductions, process leavers and ensure accurate transfer of data to Payroll.
*Ensure accurate staff monthly payroll, manage pay changes, ensure compliance with NMW and report on Gender Pay Gap.
*Provide an in house direct recruitment solution including writing job descriptions and adverts, sourcing appropriate advertising platforms, undertaking recruitment admin, including notifying unsuccessful candidates.
*Oversee investigations & disciplinaries, manage restructures, TUPE transfers, sensitive departures, sickness absence, OH referrals, performance shortcomings.
*Oversee admin / renewal of employee benefits, e.g. healthcare, pension, childcare vouchers, and liaise with Finance & Payroll, e.g. for P11d purposes.
*Manage the T&A System across the Club towards full implementation. Be the system expert and maximise the reporting and HRIS functionality.
*Draft, review and monitor people policies and procedures to ensure they are in line with best practice and current employment legislation.
*Be the Senior Safeguarding Manager for the Club and oversee Club achievement of EFL Safeguarding Standards.
*Be the Club Equality Champion and oversee Club achievement of EFL Equality Standards.
