The Opportunity
A property investment fund based in North London (Zone 1) is currently recruiting for an experienced HR Business Partner. The organisation is embarking on an exciting period of expansion, so this role will be focusing on supporting the growth of their London office along with opening a new office in New York later in the year. This is to join a small team in London (as they grow) but with the benefits of being part of a larger HR team which is based in the Australian Head Office.
The Detail
Reporting to the Head of HR in Australia, the role acts as a strategic business partner to the senior leaders by embedding people and culture strategies into the business and by providing professional, expert guidance and support with the objective of building the culture and capability of the organisation to deliver high performance.
Working closely with the business in London especially the investment team and portfolio managers, the main accountabilities will include:
*Develop and deliver a people plan for the international offices, which is aligned to the business strategy
*Drive staff performance and engagement by delivering and embedding people initiatives into the London and New York offices.
*Contribute to achieving a unified and values driven culture in the international offices and across the broader fund.
*Provide HR advice, support and solutions to leaders and the wider team on a wide range of strategic and operational people issues.
*Translate business strategy into workforce capabilities
*Ensure the organisational structure of the international offices evolves to meet the requirements of the business as it grows.
*Apply a future focus to the recruitment and development of people to deliver on the long-term strategy.
*Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR processes and practices.
*Coaching senior leaders in London and New York.
Skills and Experience
*HR or related degree qualification is essential
*Deep experience in a business partnering role ideally working in FS with investments client group
*Proven commercial approach to HR
*Ability to work at both operational and strategic levels effectively
*Comfortable working in a small team
*International experience (ideally in the USA) would be highly advantageous
