Job Details

The main purpose of the role will be to lead delivery of the group-wide strategy, plan and solutions for leadership and talent development; enabling us to foster and drive a learning culture across the business. The primary focus will be on the design, implementation and embedding of a leadership development framework for the Group, with interventions for new, existing and future leaders.

 

  • Develop and deliver solutions in line with Group Talent strategy
  • Understand the capabilities needed to deliver the Group strategy and work with the Group Talent Acquisition Partner to create plans to ‘build’ or ‘buy’
  • Develop plans which enable the creation and embedding of a learning culture within the business
  • Work closely with the People Solutions team to ensure our learning and development technology enablers continually meet our needs and we are maximising their use
  • Use analytics to drive insight around our ‘talent health’, measure the effectiveness of talent activity and inform our future plans
  • Ensure the EVP, values and behaviours and are integrated into talent practices
  • Recommend new and innovative ways to develop talent
  • Ensure that all activity is delivered in a way that promotes a diverse and inclusive workforce
  • Lead deployment of any DB talent development initiatives in the business

 

Talent Development

 

  • Work with third parties to design, implement and continually evolve the leadership development framework; including interventions for new, existing and future leaders
  • Design and deliver bespoke in-house development interventions
  • Partner with Group and local HR colleagues to create a dynamic environment for career development; including stronger visibility of opportunities and internal talent and encouraging talent mobility
  • Review the development supplier landscape; ensuring we develop and maintain strong relationships and are achieving economies of scale and the best possible terms
  • Work with Talent Advisor to recommend activity that will enable us to develop a strong ‘Early Careers’ talent pipeline in line with overall development strategy

 

Education & Professional Qualifications

 

  •  Degree or equivalent experience
  • Coaching accreditation - preferred

 

Experience & Background  

 

  • Strong track record of delivery in leadership and talent development
  • Experience of delivering development activity across company / geographic boundaries
  • Proficient in managing relationships with external partners such as training providers, coaches and universities
  • Experience of working with, and implementing a Learning Management System - preferred
