Driving Workforce Success, Sustaining and Transforming the UK’s Heritage

  • HR Business Partner Systems and Operations - Manchester or Leeds X1
  • Workforce Development Manager – Manchester or Leeds (or remote working UK wide) x1

 Salary is £36,000 - £42,000 per annum.

Here at the National Lottery Heritage Fund we believe that our workforce are the key to our continuing success as the largest dedicated funder of heritage in the UK. We distribute National Lottery grants from £3,000 to £5million, funding projects that protect, sustain and transform heritage across the UK. We believe that understanding, valuing and sharing our heritage brings people together, inspires pride in communities and boosts investment in local economies.

Working out of our offices in either Manchester or Leeds you will be part of our small HR team which provides support to managers and staff across the UK. We support and encourage flexible working for all posts and are also willing to consider a remote worker/homeworker for the Workforce Development Manager role. This is an exciting time to work for us – we have just launched a new Strategic Funding Framework and implemented a new organisational structure, both of which will help us provide greater leadership and support across the heritage sector.

As HR Business Partner for Systems and Operations you will be responsible for the ‘hands-on’ day to day management of the delivery of HR operational services and helping managers by maximising the effectiveness of our HR management information systems.

As Workforce Development Manager you will be helping managers maximise workforce performance by designing and managing strategies, frameworks, policies and tools to ensure staff have the right skills to achieve the Fund’s goals.

Both roles require relevant experience, but first and foremost we are looking for candidates with and a passion for our mission and the creativity and drive to develop new ways of working. If you want to help us transform workforce management practices across the Fund and make a great place to work even better then we’d love to hear from you.

To review the job description and to apply, please complete the application form demonstrating how you meet the Person Specification via apply button.

The closing date for applications is Midnight 7 July 2019 and Interview dates to be confirmed.

If you have not heard from the recruiting officer two weeks after the closing date please assume you have not been successful.

Thank you for your interest in this role and our organisation.
