Your new company
Our client Global Private Equity firm located in Victoria are on the search for an experienced HR Generalist to join their HR team for 6 months on a FTC starting ASAP. To be considered for this role your notice period must not be any longer than 1 - 2 weeks.

The successful candidate will join the firm and work with the HR team across all aspects of human resource management including recruitment and selection; onboarding and offboarding; benefits and compensation management; performance management; employee relations; organisational development and strategic planning; compliance of legal and regulatory policies; training, coaching, and talent development; global mobility and immigration; policy development and documentation; and employee engagement.

Your new role
Duties and responsibilities:

  • Partners with HR Assistant to provide support throughout employee life cycle: management of onboarding/offboarding, performance reviews, organisation of training and development initiatives, and fielding day-to-day HR inquiries.
  • Serves as a resource to employees and managers for everyday questions.
  • Assists with the development of department and firm-wide communications/messaging.
  • Uses trend analysis, visualisation, and other techniques to identify, collect, integrate, and analyse workforce data from a variety of systems and sources.
  • Analyses both structured and unstructured data and synthesises findings to create insights.
  • Uses PowerPoint or other presentation methods to deliver relevant information to a variety of audiences, including employees, managers, and executives.
  • Quarterback the corporate recruiting process as necessary from posting positions, scheduling interviews, and following up with hiring managers and outside staffing agencies.
  • Oversees designated projects or initiatives.
  • Develops and manages project plans and project documents, including procedures, proposals, status reports and presentations.
  • Champions the company suite of benefits and educates employees on offerings.
  • Partners with the external broker to ensure all materials are relevant and up to date.
  • Ensures maximum engagement among employees.


What you'll need to succeed
Recent experience working in a HR Generalist role for an Financial services firm will be a must

  • Undergraduate degree required and CIPD Level 7 or working toward preferred.
  • Solid experience within Human Resources
  • Must have experience working with sensitive or confidential data, report creation, data analysis and development of PowerPoint presentations.
  • Excellent writing skills necessary to produce clear and concise communications.
  • Strong working knowledge of computer software programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, experience using a BI tool such as Tableau, and employee database systems.
