This role is being offered on a 6 - 12 month fixed term contract and can be based in any one of our PwC offices nationally.

You’ll help us identify and source the best instructors, develop learning and performance improvement solutions across traditional and virtual classroom environments, and consult with other areas of the firm to ensure our curriculums and initiatives support the PwC strategy.

Our Relationship Management team maintains relationships with clients, stakeholders, and key partners for learning and development resources that will help serve assigned client groups. As part of the team, you’ll be responsible for building and managing relationships with appropriate leadership team members, learning committees, and other client service representatives to understand the assigned groups strategy and priorities related to their learning and development goals.

 

About the Team  

Talent and Development (T&D) is PwC's internal learning and development function. Our ambition is to be a world-class learning function, partnering with the business to deliver L&D which meets the needs of our people and helps deliver the Firm’s strategic priorities.

Reporting to the Head of Strategic Relationships (SR), the Senior Strategic Relationships Manager is responsible for supporting the Head of SR on the delivery of key strategic priorities for Talent & Development (T&D), alongside the wider Strategic Relationships team.

 

The role Working closely with the Head of SR, key responsibilities will include

  • Supporting the Head of SR, working with the Executive Assistant to the Chief Learning Officer, to respond to asks of the T&D leadership team from the business (including the Executive Board, CMTT, CME and LoS Boards). This includes preparing internal and external documents/ presentations / communications on a variety of topics and for a range of audiences, considering and developing the key messages and media

  • Planning and chairing monthly SR team meetings and SR Leadership Team meetings, being accountable for driving the completion of actions.

  • Leading the annual training needs analysis process, including the alignment with annual resource planning, financial budgeting and forecasting, and reporting the outputs.

  • Overseeing the risk identification, resolution and escalation process in relation to the T&D portfolio of work and the management of new work requests.

  • Driving the SR team focus on delivery of the SR strategic priorities

  • Facilitating connectivity between SR and the Strategic Projects, Talent & Impact Teams and the People Teams beyond T&D

  • Building strong relationships with, and be highly effective in communicating within T&D and with key T&D stakeholders including LoS People Partners, People team functional leaders and other senior stakeholders across the PwC network.

  • Preparing Working alongside the HC Internal Communications Team and with the T&D integral to the decisions made on how, what and when we communicate across the business.

  • Support the Head of SR in preparation for meetings, acting as a deputy to attend as necessary both globally and in the UK as appropriate.

  • Picking up and driving various initiatives on the Head of SR’s behalf, being the key point person / project leader as needed

    Requirements

    This is a high profile role working very closely with the Head of SR and with exposure to the senior leadership team in the firm. This role is likely to suit a Senior Manager with the following qualities and experience

  • Passionate about the firm (particularly the people agenda) and making a difference, and is looking for a challenging role that will develop themselves and their PwC network further.

  • Has a broad strategic interest in the firm, the marketplace in which we operate and what we need to do for our people.

  • Strong organisational and project management skills are essential.

  • Able to quickly assimilate information and data and present in a clear, effective manner.

  • Has the ability to influence people at all levels by flexing their style and putting themselves in others’ shoes.

  • Able to build strong relationships quickly with a diverse range (and seniority) of people.

  • Resilient in difficult situations and able to cope with tight deadlines, difficult people situations and constant change.

  • A self-starter who is capable of working on their own as well as in a team with the ability to take the lead and build influence in team meetings.

  • Capable of operating in an ambiguous, always changing and dynamic environment.

  • Able to apply existing skills to a much wider variety of topics, not necessarily related to their own area of specialism

  • Aware of the sensitive and confidential nature of the information they will have access to daily and know how to use this effectively

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to deliver different, and sometimes difficult, messages to a wide range of audiences

  • Comfortable writing presentations, delivering key messages with impact through a variety of media
